T-lymphocyte at Medical Glossary

What is it? A white blood cell derived from lymphoid stem cells in the thymus that is responsible for cell-mediated immunity and for stimulating B lymphocytes. T-lymphocyte subtypes include helper, suppressor, and cytotoxic T cells.
